The Rules of Art? on Inside Art with Kate Bryan

I was thrilled (and just a little nervous!) to be interviewed for Kate Bryan’s Inside Art programme on The Rules of Art? for Sky Arts. It has been such a privilege to be part of this really incredible exhibition, to have the work An Archive of Longing (Material Presence) paired with such a stunning Cezanne and sitting alongside some of my most beloved still life artists, Giorgio Morandi and Gwen John.  

The exhibition is showing in the National Museum of Wales, Cardiff and brings together 500 hundred years of art history, with artists such as Botticelli, Rembrandt, Bacon and Picasso in unexpected juxtapositions with Gwen John, Bob and Roberta Smith, Donald Rodney, Bedwyr Williams, Caroline Walker and John Akomfrah.
